Born in Busan, South Korea — where acupuncture and herbal medicine are not alternative care, they are simply care — Dr. Kevin Kim's education in Traditional Chinese Medicine began before most children start school. Under the guidance of his grandfather, Won Hak Kim, he began learning the art of acupuncture and herbal medicine at the age of five.
That foundation carried him through his formal education at Dongguk University, one of Korea's most respected institutions for Oriental Medicine, and across the Pacific to the United States — where he began practicing acupuncture at the University of Southern California in 1997.
In 2005, Dr. Kim brought that lifetime of knowledge to Charlotte, NC — opening what would become Evergreen Wellness, a practice rooted in three generations of healing wisdom and equipped with the tools of modern medicine.
